This is the second movement of “An Australian Song Cycle” – a choral celebration of the beauty of Australia’s natural environment and the uniqueness of our flora and fauna, as expressed by our most celebrated poets. In this movement, Henry Lawson’s words are intimate and impassioned, a tribute to the life of the drover and the struggles of drought. All movements of “An Australian Song Cycle” may be performed in isolation or together with others in the set.
